This is Phase 3 of the Gainsborough map, all files included and ready to play.

Welcome (back) to Gainsborough

Gainsborough is a small market town, located in rural Lincolnshire, some 15 miles north of the county capital - Lincoln. Public transport in these areas is sparse, compared to other, more densely populated towns and cities in the UK. Making profitable and regular public transport here is a real challenge!

The main operator here is Stagecoach East Midlands - who operate 2 town routes, the 1 and 2, which (pre-covid) each operated every hour, as well as a handful of more rural services to Retford and Doncaster - as well as "Interconnect 100", between Lincoln and Scunthorpe - All of which operate hourly at best. v In OMSI, the network has been somewhat enhanced to make things more varied and busier, whilst trying to keep that rural vibe. The operator is "Lincolnshire Roadcar", who operated almost all services in Gainsborough until they were taken over by Stagecoach, as part of the acquisition of the Yorkshire Traction group in 2005.

Phase 3 see's the completion of Interconnect route 100 as far as Lincoln via Saxilby - a journey time of around 50 minutes, as well as minor tweaks to existing areas from phase 1 and 2, and route 104 now starting/ending at the depot, rather than Corringham Road roundabout. Drivable routes are:
100 - Gainsborough to Saxilby to Lincoln (Every 60 minutes, takes around 50 minutes)
101 - Gainsborough to Park Springs (Every 60 minutes, takes around 25 minutes)
102 - Gainsborough to Park Springs (Every 60 minutes, takes around 25 minutes)
103 - Gainsborough to Morton (Every 60 minutes, takes around 30 minutes)
104 - Gainsborough to Depot via Corringham Road (Every 60 minutes, takes around 20 minutes).
590 - Park Springs to QE High School (School service - Daily Mon-Fri, takes around 35 minutes)

This is Scunthorpe 2020 for OMSI 2, an updated version of the 2016 map which allows you to truly drive like a British bus driver. Because this requires Scunthorpe 2016 to work, both maps are included. That means you can drive on the 2016 version or the 2020 version with this one download. Also included is Cotterell, since the map was also a requirement. All required files are included to get started.

"Scunthorpe 2016 was brought to OMSI 2 by mrmoose and I have now introduced an enhanced version of the map (with permission to edit and release) with Chrono features to allow the existing routes until 30 November 2020, and then the new real life routes/timetables take effect."

A Double Decker bus with Jammie Dodger wheels? How did we miss this off our quintessential UK mod list?

While this "bus" isn't very practical, the sound design is hands down the best we've ever encountered.

London Route 24

An incredible British themed map, you do not need to own the London payware DLC to play with this map. However, the default AI list may not work unless you own some of the payware buses. You can use the Trident London Variant which is included.

"Route 24 is the oldest unchanged bus route in London. It runs between Pimlico (a residential area filled with Regency architecture and grid style streets sitting on the bank of the river Thames)and Hampstead Heath (a huge public park in North London surrounded by affluent houses and the Royal Free Hospital). The route takes just under an hour at peak time, down to 40 mins during a night run. It's 7 miles long. There are unscheduled curtailments set up in the map.

The route passes these landmarks: Victoria station, Westminster Abbey, Parliament square, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Cambridge Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Euston Tower, Carreras cigarette factory and Camden Town.

The route only uses the New Routemaster and was the first route in London to do this. It runs 24 hours a day and is operated by Abellio from their Battersea garage (QB). This depot is included in the map. You can also drive (if you want) with the Enviro 400, EvoCiti, Masterswitch Gemini 3 series, Studio Polygon MMC (compatible with V1.2) or the ALX400 London spec if you want to go back in time. These buses are all set up.

The map is designed to simulate life post COVID restrictions and is accurate to early 2022. It took me nearly 18 months to build the map from start to finish."
