Topic: Winsome E500 MMC Hybrid – Engine Temperature Locks at 0°C on Acceleration
Hi everyone,
I am running the Winsome Alexander Dennis Enviro500 MMC Hybrid mod in OMSI 2, and I am hitting a persistent script bug.
The Problem:
When the bus first spawns, the engine temperature tracks normally. However, as soon as I stop at a bus stop and accelerate for the second time, both the engine temperature (engine_temperature) and the cabin air temperature (Cabinair_Temp) instantly plummet to exactly 0 degrees and freeze there permanently.
What I've Checked So Far:
• Cleaned up the RPN math stack errors in engine_serialhybrid_temprature.osc around the engine_governed_idle_RPM curve.
• Fixed the missing engine_Qrate_waterpump_factor constant references on line 301.
• Checked engine_varlist.txt to ensure engine_temperature_envir and all heat rates are properly declared.
• Verified the heat exchanger clamp logic in heizung_hybrid.osc so it doesn't pass negative values.
Despite these fixes, the variable reset still occurs precisely when the hybrid powertrain transitions from standstill to initial acceleration. It seems like a state-machine or initialization override is wiping out the math stack. Has anyone found a definitive fix or a clean script replacement for this hybrid temperature lockup? Thanks!
